Events SEPTEMBER 2010 We have the following events at Michael's property at Oakford during the Royal show Move out 4th (Sat) Last day of term 3 OCTOBER School Holiday Day Camps- October These will be conducted at Michael's property at 434 Kargotich Rd Oakford.Transport will be available from Claremont if required Week 1 school holiday camps - These start on Monday 27 September ( even though it is a public holiday) Application Forms will be available here General Lessons During the Royal Show Move Out Private Lessons are available any time by appointment- please email or phone Group Lessons will be held as follows - if you wish to join in please email or phone - cost is $60 per lesson - Adults 6pm Every Wednesday commencing 8 September Eventing and Horsemanship Courses over Royal Show Move out at Oakford Four Week Horsemanship Course Week 1 – Horse Management including Saddling Up - correctly fitting the saddle - rugging Times The 4 week course will run at the following times and days . Wednesday 11am The course will run at 11am on Thursday 5pm This course will run at 5pm Saturday 10am The course will run at 10am on Cost The cost of the course is $ 75 per lesson (if you want to book for just one or two of the lessons) or if you book for all 4 it is $280 . Four Week Introduction to Eventing Course Michael's property has a large dressage arena, cross country course and Show jumping course to facilitate and assist in improving the rider’s knowledge about eventing. The aim of the course is to introduce riders to eventing and enable them to learn more about the 3 phases of eventing namely Dressage, Cross country and show Jumping. Week 2 – Dressage Phase Week 3 – Introduction to Cross Country Week 4 – Show Jumping The duration of the lessons will be 1 hour. Wednesday 5pm The course will run at 5pm on Thursday 11am This course will run at 11am Saturday 11am The course will run at 11am on Cost The cost of the course is $ 75 per lesson (if you want to book for just one or two of the lessons) or if you book for all 4 it is $280 . The January School Holiday Camps are always very popular We are conducting day camps every day from Term 1 2010 commences on Monday 1 February 2010 Application forms will be available shortly DECEMBER 2009 Term Gymkhana - Sunday 6 December Term 4 - last week (week 8) commences Monday 7 December December School Holiday Day Camps commence on 14 December January School Holiday Day Camps commence on Monday 4 January and go all through January Casual Riding Lessons - available at any time through December at January at Showgrounds or Oakford OCTOBER 2009 19th (Mon) - Term 4 recommences Four Week Horsemanship Course Over the Royal Show break we will be conduction a 4 week Horsemanship Course at Michael's property at Oakford Week 1 – Horse Management including Saddling Up - correctly fitting the saddle - rugging Week 2 – Horse Care including Feeding/ Hoof Care and Farrier Week 3 – Muscle Manipulation and Horse Anatomy Week 4 – Horse Health including diseases, worming, first aid, bandaging and grooming The intention of this course is to provide the interested rider with sound horse knowledge and lessons. The course will be for 1 hour each week and the first half hour will be theory on the topics above and the second half hour will be a riding lesson.
