Home Camp Eleta will be holding a home camp in the first week of the school holidays in the Swan Valley. As before riding spaces are very limited and riding level conditions apply. Erin and Jess didnt get a lot of sleep, but from all accounts heaps of fun was had by all. We will try and have another sleep over some time next term.     08 Aug 2006 by Showgrounds comments (0) Royal Show Move OUt The horses will all go on holiday on the afternoon of September 9 which is the last day of term. We will have a 5 week break and be back for term 4 on October 23. Forms for term and Christmas day camps are now available on the web site. If anyone would like to volunteer with lending a hand for show move out we will be full steam ahead on Sunday the 10th of September. This may be a good oportunity for us to throw some 'snaggers' on the BBQ! "Peanut" is due on August 21 so I will not be available from now until a few weeks after. As the baby gets bigger I have been finding it harder to 'waddle' up and down to my office everyday! The girls and James will be available to handle your queries and an inbox will be left on the table downstairs so that you can leave us messages and we can call you back. Email will also be a good way of contacting us directly. If the staff are not busy teaching I am sure they wil be happy to help in any way possible. We appreciate your patience over the next few weeks. Regards Eleta       08 Aug 2006 by Showgrounds comments (0) Rider Wins Silver Showgrounds rider Deane Whitehead recently won silver in a modern pentathalon. Dee had only started riding this year and had to have a crash course in jumping so that she could complete the showjumping phase requirements of the competition. Dee completed her Showjumping phase with only two rails down and no refusals. Dee was ridng a horse that she did not know and only had time to do a short warm up on before she was required in the ring. Dee has been featured in many of the local papers now for her achievements..
