RIDING LESSONS - GROUP & PRIVATE

The SEC is committed to providing a sound knowledge of equestrian skills and horse husbandry skills for the pupils in all aspects of horse riding including dressage, hacking, cross country and show jumping.

The riding lessons concentrate on improving riders' abilities no matter how basic or advanced they are.

Children to Adults or Beginners to Advanced - we cater for everyone.

The SEC conducts four terms per year, each of eight weeks duration. The terms generally align with school terms, however we also offer casual lessons as required by you.

Adult Riding

Adult riding groups are avaialable Mon including Sat subject to bookings. The groups cater for all levels of riders from absolute beginners to advanced riders. Private lessons are also available at any time.

Come along and enjoy a coffee and have a fun time riding.

Children Riding

  • We cater for children starting from 5 years of age
  • Childrens' lessons are available in groups or privately. These lessons are available after school or on Saturday mornings.

Cost

    You can enrol for casual lessons when you wish or for a reduced fee enrol for the 8 week term.

  • Term enrolment
    8 x weekly lessons - fees are pro-rata depending on start date
    - Group Lesson $420 - for 1 hour
    - Private Lesson $460 - for half hour
    (Note all beginners must start with private lessons)

  • Casual Lessons
    are also available by appointment - either in groups or privately
    - Group Lessons are $60 for 1 hour
    - Private Lessons cost $60 for half hour (can be longer by arrangement)

  • There is a 10% deduction for each additional family member when enrolling for the full term

  • No refund is given for non-attendance

SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMPS

To coincide with the school holidays the SEC runs a school holiday program which allows children to experience the joys of owning a pony for a day or a week. The program covers horse care, horsemanship, how to ride and general equestrian activities. The classes cater for absolute beginners through to the more experienced rider and ages range from 6 to early teens.

Day camps are held Monday to Friday at the SEC Claremont commencing at 9am and finishing at 4pm.

COMPETITION TEAMS

We are commencing taking interested riders to events. If you are interested in hiring a horse and becoming part of the SHOWGROUNDS COMPETITION TEAM please let Eleta know.

Equipment

Please note you must have your own riding boots. We can supply a helmet if required or you can use your helmet if it meets the regulations. You can purchase boots or helmets from the Showgrounds if required as well as our T-shirts, hats etc.
